I had jury duty yesterday. They must like me because it seems like they choose me every year to serve. Last year, I was actually picked to serve on the jury. It was for a malpractice case. It lasted for four days, and it started that afternoon.
This year, it was a criminal case- a drug case. They picked filled the seats before they could get to me. Yay! They sent us downstairs to go over the other cases before sending us back into the courtroom for more selections, but something went wrong (either people didn't show up or they settled) so they paid us and sent us all home, instead! Yay for me! Even better! My co-worker got selected as an alternate, though. So, it was nice to have the entire day off yesterday. =)
