The Chef That Doesn't Cook

This morning, I walked into work and found this on my desk. My co-worker had friends for the weekend visiting, and they left a gift from Florida-lots of lemons and limes. My friend wasn't sure what she gave me. So, we are left with a mystery. It's green but mostly yellow. What do you think? Is it a lemon or a lime?

I say it's a lemon. It's too yellow all over but hasn't fully turned "lemony" yet.

Last week, the Dean's secretary asked employees if we were interested in the Daman Lee Fowler cookbook, to let her know. I had expressed interest and wanted to know how much each book was. Again, I expressed more interest in the staff meeting but I never gave it a "go" on making the order, so I figured she just knew that I didn't want it. I received my email this morning saying my copy arrived and it was $19.22. Much to my surprise, I went ahead and pulled out the checkbook and wrote it for the amount owed. It's actually a really nice book for being only $19-nice, thick hardback. I'm actually drooling from looking at the pictures. It looks like mostly seafood dishes. Yummmm. So, for a single woman like me who does not cook but CAN, this beautiful book will be nice sitting on my coffee table until it's time for good use. =)
