Cholesterol

If anyone knows what it's like having high cholesterol, then you know it's hard to stick by a diet or any kind of exercise routine. I have high cholesterol. I always have. It must be a genetic thing, but I would not know this as I am adopted and do not know my medical history. I will be honest in saying that I am not on any medication, nor am I one to exercise and eat healthy. I know, I know...bring it on. I've heard it a million times. Yes, I've heard the lecture.

A friend of mine has the same problem. He also does not have medical history. He called me last night and started out in such a serious tone. "Dyana, I'm going to be honest." My heart started to race. I got nervous. "What?" I said. "I'm feeling like a chili dog." I burst into laughter. "You what?"

He continues, "I know I shouldn't with the high cholesterol and stuff...but I'm on the medication...so I should be okay, right?"

I'm not one to follow rules or obey diets. I egg him on. Seriously. "Do it! Do it! Do it!"

"I already am!" He says.

"I'm not a good influence. I never have been. Just do it!" I say.

So, he goes to Sonic and orders his chili dogs. "Ooooh, I loooove onion rings! And a cherry limeaide! Yummmmm. My favorites!" I continue to blurt out.

And, what does this friend do? He orders it. Damn you friend. My mouth is salivating. I will be stopping by Sonic after work today to stuff my face with all of that, plus a peanut buster parfait (that we had been talking about for the last 3 days) as he drools all over his phone. Bliss.
