Michael Jackson Banter

I'm on an LDS website to meet new people. My user name is one of Michael Jackson's songs. I have gotten a lot of interesting comments regarding it, but most have not "caught" it-as in not getting the whole idea.

Well, one dude writes to me about it so I explain to him how it is my name and how I love the song and that it brings back some memories for me. He continued to explain how he did not approve of MJ and the decisions that he had made, etc. The conversation goes like this:

ME: Ha ha; I'm glad you get it. Most don't. My name is Dyana and I looove the song, but most don't get it-or recognize that it's a Michael Jackson bad ass song! haha

JERK: Well, I'm don't think to much of M.J. but I guess someone has too.But I do like your name. Do you ever make it to UT ever?

ME: Not very often. I have lots of family that live there, and I have a sister living in Farmington. And what is this about you not liking MJ too much? haha.

JERK: MJ is a child molester...weird dude. Why do I have to say that....duhhhhh LOL Come on out to SLC we'll meet up

ME: Remember: Innocent until proven guilty! And he wasn't proven guilty!
Besides, he was a great dancer and great singer. Sure he's weird but who isn't? That's what I love about individuals...everyone has a little quirkiness and weirdness about them....it's what makes them who they are. Ü

JERK: You are wierd if you think it's ok for MJ to sleep with a bunch of little boys, play house, live in "Never Land". He's no man, thats for sure. I don't believe in all of us being robots, but there is right and wrong. He was wrong.

ME: I never said I condoned molestation, but no one has proof that he molested those children! Like I said, I'm a firm believer in one who is innocent until proven guilty.

A day goes by, and I thought my last comment had done him in.....but alas, I get a new message!

JERK: Oh sure, he's officially innocent. But were theres smoke theres fire. And he was not normal, by anyones standard. There are a lot of other people who are better then he and deserve more respect then MJ. Namely any and every soldier that puts his life on the line, and especially the ones that left on the ground over here. So, as you can see MJ doesn't impress me.

So, where does talking about Michael Jackson lead to talking about a soldier putting his life on the line come from? I have no clue. This. dude. needs. to. go. AWAY. Idiot.
