I have already seen the movie before, but I decided to read the book. This weekend, I have cried, laughed, cried and laughed some more. I don't think my head has ever hurt more in one weekend than it has this past one.
Often times, I like to read a book before seeing a movie. This time, it is the other way around. I'm actually happy, because I see the differences between a novel writer and a movie writer. The script writer has taken the gist of the book and really taken the book and twisted it the way he wanted to or had to in order to fit the important parts of the book into his movie. I loved how the script was done...but I loved the book better.
I can't wait to go home tonight to finish reading this book. I wanted to finish reading it last night so badly, but my head hurt so much that I couldn't. I woke up with the biggest crying hangover ever.
If you haven't seen the movie or the read the book, I suggest it. You'll thank me later. Maybe then we can have a little chat about it. It would be fun! =)
P.S. Who couldn't fall in love with a man like Gerry?

P.P.S. You'll love Cecelia Ahearn's books. I loved Love, Rosie.
