Counting Sheep

This is what I do when I can't sleep at night....or maybe I'll think of a million other things to blog.

1. I'm a little late, but during Hanukah, I thought of my ex and all that I've learned from him and the Jewish faith. This is what I think of when I associate Jews and him. And yes, they are a bit silly but sentimental in some small way.

  • fish in the jar. When ever I see this anywhere (which is rare), it reminds me of "formaldihyde."
  • Yamaka- I think of the picture of him as a little boy all dressed up in his gear! Then I think of the hat book that his mom reads to his nieces every Sunday by acting the story out with the yamakas.
  • bagels
  • the framed article about HIM and lighting the minora (sp?)- and right next to it is a story about the racists who hate Jews. A bit crazy, eh?
  • the Festivus wrapping paper that I wrapped for his mom's Hanukah gift. He laughed.
  • the fact that I loved dating him because we didn't have to argue about who was spending the holiday at whose house (I know I used incorrect grammar just now.).
2. What the hell am I going to wear to work tomorrow? And if I wear "this" or "that," am I going to end up looking like this....

....like the purple shirt, jean skirt, pink socks, slip-on nurse "keds," ringlet curls?

I tend to worry a lot and have a lot of anxiety, so I don't sleep well at night. I toss and turn and get very little sleep and end up dragging the entire next day. It sucks. So, all my thoughts on my blog come from these crazy sleepless nights.
