Gracie and I headed over there this morning. Gracie loved the ride over! She has always loved car rides. She gets so excited she won't sit in the car.

We had a great time. Gracie loved running around, playing with Holly(Mom and Dad's malteese dog) and just enjoying the sunshine. I also had a great time. I spent the ENTIRE day with Mom and Dad. We went shopping, baked, shopped some more, and ate. I thought I was going to be able to avoid all the store shopping this year, but that didn't happen. If I hadn't gone with mom, it would have been totally possible to avoid. Oh well, it was fun! It was definitely chaos, though!
Tonight, Dad, Mom and I delivered gifts (that were gathered by people from church ) to a girl that surely needed them. It was such a sad situation. She had absolutely NOTHING in that poor house. And I mean that literally. It surely makes you thankful for what you have and guilty for the small things that you take for granted...or complain about what you want that you don't need. At least it is in MY case. It is also a reminder how I need to be more giving to those in need, not just once a year.
On a happier note, my gifts arrived in the mail. I'm way excited. They turned out SO awesome, and I'm so excited to give them to my loved ones. Mom loved her birthday gift, though it arrived a little late. It was a mother/daughter bracelet duo. It sounds kind of cheesy but that is how it was sold, and to be honest, I like it. We match, and it will always be a reminder that I gave it to her, and how thankful I am to be HER daughter. On her bracelet, it has her initial "C" and mine has a "D" on it.
I left my camera at their house, so my iPhone gives a crappy picture.

I had more than a hand full of things to bring into the apartment, so I had to make two trips. I bought Gracie some treats for Christmas but wanted to hide them so she wouldn't sniff her way to find them. I hid them in the clothes bag in hope she wouldn't. Once I made it to the top of the stairs with all the "junk," I looked for her bone and decided to give it to her early. I couldn't find it, so I figured it must have fallen out of the bag at mom's. No. Gracie found it when I was outside and was patiently waiting for me to open the bedroom door so she can find her comfort on the bed and work on that bone! Boy is she loving this bone! WOW!
The pictures are kind of blurry because she was really getting into the bones!
